Blogging Groups

Happy Friday everyone! I just wanted to share with you some wonderful blogging groups that I've discovered. They are all unique yet they all support women. 


Texas Blogging Gals
This blog is just for Texas Gals to network and get to know each other.Any blogger born or located in the state can participate. There are no requirements at this blog or daily posts. Diana is in the process of getting the group orgainzed by region in the state so that we connect with our "neighbors".  This is a big state so we have a lot of "neighbors." I highly recommend this group. There are a lot of great, wonderful women in this blog group. 





The Lady Bloggers
The lady bloggers another place for women to connect with each other.  This group is for any female blogger wither you be a mom blogger, a fitness blogger, a  fashion blogger or anything in between. This group has a forum where you can go and talk with other bloggers. They also provide blogging tips, links to blogging conferences, featured blogs and advice on dealing with feminism in the digital age. There are no requirements to join. You just fill out an application and grab a badge and your in. They have a lot of great resources. 






The Secrets in the Sauce
The Sits group is a group of bloggers that support each other by leaving comments. The feature a new blog each day (except on the weekends) and they ask you to look at the blog and leave comments. They leave the choice of weather or not to follow the blog up to you.  You can also be a featured blogger if you wish. This is where the Sits team previews your  blog and then features it on your website. They also have blogging tips. I have joined this group but I haven't gotten a lot of comments from them. But I have discovered many cool blogs. 





These are my three favorite blogging groups for women. Get out there and check them out. Don't take my word for it. 

Mixed Emotions

Tonight I write with a heavy heart and very conflicting emotions. I got a phone call from a friend tonight. I'll call her Shelly. Well, Shelly and I have been friends since elementary school. We don't see each other that often but we still stay in touch. Shelly told me today she's pregnant.I'm happy for her but also part of me is very very sad. I am sad because my hubby and I don't have any kids of our own. We want kids but things haven't been working out for us. I didn't want to upset Shelly while I was talking to her but as soon as I got of the phone I started bawling. Is it wrong for me to be happy for her but sad at the same time? I know that God is in Control and that everything works out for a reason but still sometimes it's so hard. Especially when it seems like you are the only one who's childless. I'm so thankfully that God hears the cry's of my heart and quiets my soul as only He can.

1. What's your favorite time of the day, and why? Morning because that is when I feel the best. Plus everyone else is still asleep.  

2. If health wasn't an issue, what food could you live off of? Cheese Puffs  

3. If you could have one wish granted (besides wishing for more wishes), what would it be? Right now it would be to find a full time job with benefits. 

4. What's one thing that you get teased about a lot? Being so tall. I'm 5'11"
5. If you could choose one movie, book, or TV show to spend your life in, which would you pick? What type of character would you be? Bella in Breaking Dawn. Life with Edward and Renesmee -couldn't get much better than that. Unless I could make Matt sparkley too. hehe 

6. If you could have one talent that you don't already have, what would it be? The ability to sing. I love to sing but I can't carry a tune in a bucket. 

7.If money were no object, where would you go on vacation? Italy

8. If you were an awesome singer, which genre would you sing? pop or maybe country

9. If you could have a $10,000 shopping spree to one store, what would it be? Target. I heart Target. 

10. If you could live in any point in time, when would it be? 40's or 50's. I think life was simpler back in those days. 

11. If every outfit in your wardrobe had to be one color, what would it be? Purple..without question

12. If you were one of the seven dwarves, which one would you be?
(Doc, Grumpy, Sneezy, Sleepy, Bashful, Happy, or Dopey) A fun mix of Happy and Dopey. 

13. What's the last album you listened to? Alicia Keys-Diary of Alicia Keys.

14. What's something we'd be surprised to know about you? That I started dying my hair in junior high because that's when I got my first grey hair. 

Going Green Thumbed?

Back when I was doing my New Years Resolutions I said I was plant a garden this Spring. Well I had totally forgotten about it till I read my friends blog at Alamo North . After reading the post I realized I have no clue about gardening. I don't even know where to start. So my fellow bloggers who garden, I have a TON of questions for you. Okay not a ton but several. Here they go.  How did you get started gardening? What's a good thing to garden for a "newbie?" Where do you find out what your zone is? Tips? Suggestions?
Any advice would be great!
