Yes, it has happened to me, too! But, I sometimes stop following other blogs, so I guess it is a "give and take". I'm over it.

I don't think much of it but sometimes I wonder if I might have offended someone
I think we probably all wonder that. I always look at my number of followers to see if it has gone up or down. I haven't had much time to blog lately, so I am surprised mine hasn't gone down.
Your blog is lovely. I am still here, just not as often as of late. School is almost over and summer is just around the corner. WOO HOO!

I don't like it when they unfollow me. I've had unfollow some and only because that person posts 50 times a day or really offensive material but that's rare. Or, they stop writing for months and months.
Don't worry, I won't stop following you.

I guess I've been lucky to not have that happen, but I only have 32 followers. I follow everyone who follows me. I've had people drop me on facebook, though, and it really does hurt my feelings.
Why do people follow you but never write a comment,I have many of those Oh yes my followers list increases but where are the comments? I do sympathise with you Carol.

It's all just part of the blogging world, try not to dwell on it. People follow and unfollow for various reasons. I myself will follow people for a while and then occasionally unfollow them. Life changes, as do your blogging interests.
Blog what you want to and don't worry about offending people, it's YOUR blog.
All a part of blogging I suppose but I do understand. I was bothered when I noticed someone had stopped following me especially since I'm a newbie. But I have done it to others in the past for various reasons.
I really haven't seen the problem exactly-- a few times I've seen one go away, but get immediately replaced by another so I don't know if the two are related. I like having the followers, but I rather see commenters.
Some of my followers I don't know where they came from or why they follow-- will they disappear eventually if I haven't followed them.
I agree-- I wish people would send a note when they decide to unfollow so we know if something needs to be done better.
