I am trying to get back on my blogging scheadule. School will be out next week so hopefully things will slow down then. I've seen a lot about blogging everywhere lately. I have some comments and questions about blogging myself.
- Ladies, if you haven't you need to check out Blogher. BlogHer describes it's self as "BlogHer.com is the Web's leading guide to the hottest news and trends among women in social media." It's true. It's has everything in social media that a woman could need or want. Sorry guys I dont' anythign about a blogHim site. But if I hear of one I will let you know.
- It seems like everyone is wanting to blog for money or products now. What ever happened to just blogging because you enjoy it. Yes, I do get books to review on my blog but I do that because I love to read not to get something.
- MeMe's. It seems like you either love them or hate them. I think they are ok ocassionaly. Espeically when you don't know what to write but not all the time. What's your take on MeMe's?
- Which brings me to my next tidbit. What do you do when you don't know what to write? I struggle with writers block sometimes. What are some things you would like to see me blog about?
Ps. I had so much fun writing the Fantasy Island Favorites on Monday. I am going to list my next fifteen favorite ablums this weekend. Check back soon.

I didn't know what to write a poem about today, so I thought of the terrible day I had yesterday which resulted in a poem.
It's awful to get writers block so I feel sorry for anyone who does.

I have joined Blogher, but I have to admit, I haven't made use of it. Thanks for the reminder to go back and check it out again.
As for MeMe's, I think they can be fun, but I have to feel inspired to do one, so I don't do any regularly. You're right, they're a great source when you can't think of anything to write about.
As for writer's block, I have a bunch of "titles only" in draft, so I can always go flesh out one of those if I need a jump start. They really serve the same purpose as jotting a note when you get an idea. They're all topics I have wanted to write about, so I'm not scraping the bottom of the barrel when I go to them.
I also think it helps if you can write several posts to have scheduled in advance, but I haven't had the time to do that lately.
As I go through my day, I ask "is this something I'd blog about?" I just pick something that I did, or something I found out, or sometimes I get inspiration from other bloggers. Some days nothing comes to me, so I don't blog.
I, too, keep titles and ideas saved as drafts. Here and there I add a little info or photos until it's done and I feel it's something I want to post.
So many times I've had a idea, then thought "no nobody wants to read that", only to see someone post the same idea later on and have a really good response from it.
Not much on meme's either.
When I'm stuck, I review an album, movie, or game. Just something off my shelf.

I've visited Blogher before but thanks for reminding me about the site. I think Meme's cab be fun or interesting at times; just have to find one that's to my particular style. I don't try to blog daily so that gives me a little time to think about a topic. But I pretty much use things I've been studying or thinking on at any given time.
Hey Carol! I don't think I've really checked out BlogHer before, but I'll have to do that.
I'm still getting around to all of the Fantasy Island posts, I'll have to check yours out next! How fun was that?!
I'm in your camp with the memes, they are fun to do once in a while but they can be overdone as well. I think they tend to take the originality out of blogging!
Also, I don't think I would ever want to try to make any money from my blog. Not that I'm averse to money-making ideas, it's just that I prefer to keep my blog light and fun for myself and I think if I turned it into a type of PT job, I would lose that!
I think you should write about whatever your little heart desires, that's what we love to come and see! And if you don't have anything to blog about, wait until you do!

Interesting post today. What is a MeMe, never heard of it.
Not real thrilled about the meme's,but I go along with them.
Did you see the Jazz list that I have scheduled for Monday? I don't think many will participate because it's jazz. I'll be doing a new topic list every Monday for the next few weeks -- see if you want to participate in any of them.

I haven't checked out Blogher but I think it sounds interesting. I don't like MeMes myself. I like to set my schedule. I do book reviews but I buy all the books I review. I blog because I love it. I never seem to get blogger's block. Most of the time, I have to write down what I want to blog about so I can blog it in a few days.
Glad you're back soon though.
