Blogger's Blah
I have a bad case of the blah's today. Blogger's Blah. Blah because I feel that no one reads my blog. I look at other's blogger's follower's and to quote one of my favorite books and movies, "I turn pea green with envy." (The quotes is from Gone With The Wind in case you are wondering.)
What does it take to get people to read your blog? Am I making a big deal over nothing? I mean I do feel better after I blog. It's like therapy to me. I always walk away from my posts feeling released in a sence. So why am I making a big deal over nothing!?! Has anyone else ever felt this way? Is it normal?
Well followers or not I am still going to blog. It has become part of my life now. Now to get outside and enjoy some sunshine!
Have a blessed day everyone!

Hi Carol, I think everyone feels that way when they start out. One thing I can suggest is to move your "followers" list higher on your sidebar; if people see it first thing, they will be more likely to follow. Also, the word verification is a BIG turnoff for lots of people; you can have moderation on and allow people to post without doing the verification, you still get to approve comments, so no spam gets posted.
Blogging is pretty much a reciprocal thing; the more you visit and comment on, the more will visit you.
Go to a few of your favorite blogs that are popular and see what they do that makes them popular, too.
Keep on blogging, it just takes time.
Hey Carol, I've felt like that before. But no one was reading my blog! I just keep on visiting new people and they visit back! Have a great day, it's beautiful out today!
I feel ya Carol. When I started the whole blog thing I thought I was going to have comments but I realized this was more just for me. I put it out there for people to read so they can keep up with us since I have family all over the place. But, I totally understand where you're coming from. I have even tried to encourage people to join blogger to start their own and become a follower.LOL. Well, I hope your Blah day gets better-The sun is out!
I have been reading your blog but found it difficult to leave a comment. You have to click on the "links" to get to the place to leave a comment.
You might want to check this. I bet you will get more followers and commenters too! have a great day!
Thanks for the wonderful insights and tips on getting more followers!
I have felt like that before. I try hard not to get caught up in the number of comments I get. But I wouldn't be telling the truth if I told you it doesn't still happen at times. For the longest time, only about 4 family members read my blog. None of my real life friends blog, so they didn't have a real interest in reading mine. Joining Texas Blogging Gals has helped me meet a lot of terrific bloggers. Thanks for stopping by. It's nice to 'meet' you.
Well,it looks like you have a great blog! I agree,we all feel like we are alone in blog land from time to time...hang in there! Thanks for visiting me and following! Oh..your profile is not turned on..that makes it hard to find your blog..I knew I had seen you before..it was on TX blogging Gals!
Hey Carol, I'm back. I was just going to tell you that your profile is not turned on, but I see that the person above me told you. When you leave a comment and people click on your name to visit your site, they just get a message something to the affect that your profile is not public. If you don't want to share info, just leave it blank and publish it without any personal info; that way people can at least link back to your blog. The easier you are to locate, the more readers you'll get!
